When I am out searching for flowers there are so many things that I think about when picking them out. I think about the colors that are available and remember what I photographed last, texture, the way that the flower opens itself up.

Since I brought up color - there are so many beautiful shades and yet I seem to draw to some of the same ones over and over. Green is my favorite color but not the typical color of flowers. The other day my husband and I were watching an episode of Friends, season 9, where Ross and Rachel were in their apartment and there was a vase full of green goddess calla lilies as well as another vase of calla lilies. I had to go back and search through my green goddess calla lilies images and worked this one up.

I also updated my etsy shop with a few of the smaller images of mine. All of these images are on photographic paper and in an edition of 200. I will be adding more soon so check back for updates. http://www.etsy.com/shop/AnnaChipman
